Job Overview
We are currently seeking a part-time Online English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher, where you'll inspire and empower learners from around the globe to achieve their language goals. Duties
- Deliver engaging online English lessons tailored to students’ age, proficiency level, and learning objectives using e-learning platforms and video conferencing software.
- Develop and adapt curriculum and instructional materials that meet diverse learner needs. Students will mostly be in the beginner A1 - B1 range.
- Incorporate instructional modifications and differentiated teaching strategies to support learners with an emphasis on grammar, beginner literature, vocabulary, and homework help.
- Utilize learning technology tools effectively to enhance student engagement and monitor progress through assessments and feedback.
- Manage virtual classrooms with professionalism, ensuring smooth classroom management and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Provide timely feedback on student performance, maintain detailed records of lesson plans, attendance, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices in ESL tutoring, curriculum development, and instructional techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience in online instruction or e-learning platforms, with strong technical proficiency in video conferencing software and digital teaching tools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop instructional materials and lesson plans for children and teenagers.
- Strong writing skills for creating clear lesson plans and student feedback reports.
- Experience working with children in language education settings.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques suitable for virtual environments; ability to adapt instruction for learners with special needs.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to motivate students and foster a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones and adapt to evolving educational technologies.
