West Coast Event Productions is the Premier event planning, design and rental company servicing the Pacific Northwest. We are an inspired team of designers and event service technicians committed to developing innovative solutions for special events.
This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising delivery, setup, strike, and pickup of a wide variety of major and minor events. This work involves managing resources, inventory, and personnel for specific events or projects. This position is responsible for the skillful and professional set up and strike of the event in a manner that ensures the safety of the company personnel and the people participating in and attending the event. The Event Lead is responsible for the overall fulfillment of the event specifications as outlined in the event contract. This position is a key contact with the customer for the event installation, working in partnership with the sale representative to ensure customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
Carries out event production assignments as required according to contracts. Must have a creative eye to set and stage events based on client expectations and event site parameters.
· Supervises entire process of event set-up and strike
· Deliver, set-up/strike and pick up of events assigned
· Supervision of work crew in relation to time management
· Management of overtime hours
· Crew safety and productivity
· Responsible for all vehicles and equipment used onsite at events
· Completion and turn in of all paperwork thoroughly and accurately for each job assigned
· Responsible for safety of customers, guests, and public onsite during setup and strike
· Meeting established deadlines for successful job completion
· On-site job training of new and temporary staff
· Identifying substandard equipment, marking, and isolating it for repair or purge
· Ensuring all items are counted in properly upon pickup and tagged when applicable
· Ensures protective covers are used for all sensitive equipment
· Operating lifts for rigging
· Experienced Driver - 24’ trucks with clean MVR and able to obtain DOT certificate

Work and Education Requirements
· Post high school or specialized event management experience is desirable
· At least two year of event industry driving and setup experience
· Ability to remain calm and positive in difficult situations
· Ability to maintain mental alertness in performing duties and providing direction for long periods of time
Salary is commiserate with experience.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
