Position Summary:

RV Technicians do a little bit of everything: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, etc. If you can do any one of these, we’ll teach you the rest! To get started as a new RV tech in our dealership, you don’t need specific RV experience, but you do need to be handy, responsible, and professional. A successful RV Technician must be dedicated, have the ability to diagnose and fix problems, and have a focus on quality.
Essential Functions:

Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance maintenance

Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards

Examine and diagnose RV problems

Discuss repairs with shop foreman or RV service advisor

Communicate additional service requests to RV service advisor

Plan work procedures in cooperation with shop foreman

Provide labor time estimates to RV service advisor
-
Monitor repair time and update RV service advisor regularly
-
Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on RV care and operation

Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs

Attend company trainings as required

Keep current with factory technical bulletins
-
Communicate with all departments when more information needed or when problems arise

Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
Requirements:
Education, Experience and Work Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience

RVIA certification preferred but not required
-
State Inspection License is preferred but not required
-
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
Ability to diagnose and fix electrical, heating, plumbing, and hydraulic systems

Construction skills to repair water damaged units
-
Must have own tools appropriate to skill level

Must have a valid Driver’s License with clean, insurable, driving record

Certification in trade fields such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, are a plus!
