Job Summary

Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, carpets, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following proper procedures for mixing, application, and disposal to ensure environmental safety and compliance.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, stripping, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance.
- Use manual handling skills to lift heavy cleaning equipment or supplies safely while adhering to ergonomic standards.
- Operate commercial cleaning machinery including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners efficiently.
- Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and restock cleaning stations as needed to ensure continuous operation.
- Follow established health and safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or contamination.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles within commercial or institutional settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling procedures, and environmental safety standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with floor care processes such as buffing, waxing, carpet cleaning, and floor stripping.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Prior experience with environmental services or commercial cleaning is highly desirable.
