Has principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient. Plans, provides, and documents discharge planning, teaching and educates patients, family or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care. Assures that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel. Assures quality nursing care of patients and fills education, consultant, and liaison rotes within nursing and for other nurses and for other departments.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
1) Demonstrated ability in nursing practice.
2) Leadership and management abilities
3) Effective oral and written communication skills.
4) Computer skills / knowledge
1) Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Texas.
2) BCLS required and ACLS preferred.
3) Current CPR Certification
Prior Work Experience- Must have Emergency Room experience
1) One year experience as a professional Registered Nurse preferred,
2) One year in a nursing managerial or supervisory role preferred.
