Join our Youth Development team and work directly with children in a safe, supportive, and high-energy environment. What You’ll Do
- Support and/or lead engaging before & after school programming
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all youth
- Plan and implement activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Follow licensing standards and YMCA program guidelines
- Participate in training, staff meetings, and professional development
Positions & Growth Path
We hire at multiple levels based on experience and qualifications:
- Staff Assistant – Entry-level, great for gaining experience
- Staff – More responsibility in activity planning and program facilitation
- Staff Lead – Leadership role overseeing program implementation and mentoring staff

Qualifications
Must be 16 years or older
- Experience with children or in education/recreation settings (preferred, not required for entry-level)
- Knowledge of licensing or accreditation standards (preferred for higher-level roles)
- Willingness to attend trainings and obtain certifications as needed
- Positive attitude, reliability, and passion for working with youth

Physical Demands
- Ability to actively engage with children: walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting
