Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, floors, and common areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and polishers to maintain pristine floors and surfaces.
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies while following safety protocols.
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly disposing of waste and ensuring all areas meet health and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or cleaning services with a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with knowledge of industrial cleaning practices.
- Strong understanding of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and floor polishing.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean working environment.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and maintenance is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management procedures and safety protocols is advantageous.
