Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and safety of our facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and general maintenance. This role offers an opportunity to apply technical expertise in a dynamic environment, contributing to the seamless functioning of our operations. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency.
Preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of equipment, plumbing & electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting experience - Qualifed person must be able to respond to maintenace requests timely and must be able to work independelty, priortize multiple tasks, maintain accurate records and communicate effectley with staff and vendors. Must have strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, appliances, HVAC/R units, refrigeration equipment, and other facility machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform HVAC system servicing including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration components to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead small maintenance projects or assist construction teams with installation or upgrade tasks when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards.
- Use technical knowledge to interpret schematics and troubleshoot complex equipment failures efficiently.
- Support team leadership by mentoring junior technicians and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or related fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units and ventilation systems is essential.
- Familiarity with construction processes or installation work is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in diagnosing issues efficiently.
