Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems in accordance with schematics and design specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and other hand tools.
- Conduct comprehensive equipment diagnostics to identify mechanical or electrical faults and execute effective repairs promptly.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to facilitate accurate installations and repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for all performed tasks.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and performing necessary certifications.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems when needed, including condensate drainage or water supply connections.
- Support building automation system operations to optimize climate control efficiency across facilities.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with all work performed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance.
- Construction experience is highly desirable for complex system installations.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters effectively.
- Familiarity with plumbing components related to HVAC systems is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, air conditioning units, building automation systems, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration).
- Hands-on experience with hand tools necessary for equipment repair and installation tasks.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or HVAC/R are advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely is required.

Pay: $20.00 - $31.56 per hour
