John Bouchard & Sons Co. is seeking qualified candidates to perform the duties of Small Projects Foreman (SPF) for its Mechanical, Plumbing, & Electrical Division. Journeyman experience is required, with previous estimating experience and trade licensing highly desired.
Responsibilities:
Under the Supervision of the MP&E Service Manager and Small Projects Coordinator, the SPF will be responsible for the installation and execution of all aspects of small to mid-size projects, typically 2 weeks or less in duration. SPF will work hand in hand with the SPC to gather any information necessary to creating the estimate, proposal, and execution of each project.
This is a HANDS-ON position, including the installation and commissioning of any associated systems / equipment, supervision of assigned Helpers or Apprentices, and coordination with other trades and/or subcontractors. Projects may include HVAC equipment replacements, underground plumbing repairs, air compressor installations, water heater replacements or the like.
As the installation point person, attention to detail is of the utmost importance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required in order to effectively communicate with all project members, including employees, managers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors and customers.
Requirements:
- Four years of relevant industrial maintenance, pipefitting, HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical trade experience required.
- Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products and familiarity with Mobile Device integration is highly desired.
- This position requires an Operator's Driver License. An acceptable MVR is required.
