Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Survey CAD Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play an important part in transforming survey field data into accurate, high-quality drawings and deliverables that support a variety of land surveying and construction projects. You'll collaborate with survey crews, project managers, and other team members to produce precise mapping, plats, as-built deliverables, and other construction documents while maintaining our commitment to quality and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Data Processing & Drafting
- Import and Process: Manage and process raw survey data (points, linework, and surfaces) from GPS receivers and total stations into AutoCAD 2D / 3D or Trimble Business Center to be processed and create As-built deliverables/Surveys/ Construction documents.
- Map Production: Draft boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, topographic maps, easement exhibits, and record (as-built) drawings.
- Platting: Prepare subdivision plats, right-of-way exhibits, and legal descriptions.
- Modeling: Create and analyze digital terrain models (DTMs), contour maps, and grading plans-Not required but is a plus.
Project Execution & Collaboration
- Record Research: Conduct thorough deed and public records research to support boundary analysis.
- QA/QC: Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks on all drawings and data prior to final submission.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3 + years of direct experience in drafting of survey data.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD is required. Familiarity with Trimble Business Center (TBC) or similar field data processing software is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret deeds, legal descriptions, and engineering plans.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
