LHH is partnering with a holding company looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join their team in Coppell, TX.
About the Role:
This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, general ledger, supporting project teams, and assisting in audit readiness. If you're organized, detail-driven, and ready to grow your accounting career, this may be the perfect next step.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to month-end close by preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate general ledger records
- Perform reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts and investigate variances to ensure financial integrity
- Partner with project management teams to enter and monitor job cost budgets, contracts, and changes in the accounting system
- Provide clear, timely responses to internal departments regarding accounting procedures, system usage, and budget questions
- Support financial audits by compiling relevant documentation and facilitating communication with auditors
- Assist in ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and compliance tasks as requested
- Uphold confidentiality and support internal control best practices across all assigned responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 1+ years of accounting experience

Working knowledge of GAAP and internal accounting controls
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting software preferred
- Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly, both written and verbally
Pay range and compensation package:
$60,000-70,000 + full benefits package!
