Responsibilities
- Lead daily store operations by opening and closing the store securely, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately.
- Supervise team members, providing coaching, training, and development to foster a high-performing sales environment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a positive shopping experience.
- Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and sales processes with accuracy and integrity.
- Assist in recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store visibility and customer engagement.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities with previous supervising or assistant management experience in retail or grocery environments.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and multilingual or bilingual capabilities preferred for diverse customer interactions.
- Proficiency in retail math, POS systems, inventory management, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
- Skilled in negotiation, sales management, and customer service to enhance overall store performance.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with experience in shift management, budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to train team members effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Knowledge of retail operations such as stocking, inventory control, marketing strategies, wireless sales (if applicable), and cashiering procedures.
