Oviedo Primary Care is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing primary care practice on a 7–8 month contract. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting while providing exceptional clinical and administrative support to our providers.
Weekly hours will vary between 25 and 35 hours, depending on patient volume and the needs of the practice. Flexibility with scheduling is required.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential (AAMA or equivalent recognized certification).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a primary care or outpatient medical office preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or primary care.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations.
- Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
