Workers’ Compensation Specialist (Westlake, OH)
As a Workers’ Compensation Specialist for our IME division, you will manage the full lifecycle of Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) for Ohio Workers’ Compensation cases. We are specifically seeking a candidate with direct workers’ compensation experience who understands claims processes, medical-legal documentation, Ohio BWC requirements, and the importance of accurate, timely communication with providers, clients, and injured workers. This role provides expert review of IME reports, drafts high-quality IME cover letters and questions, coordinates scheduling and communication of evaluations, and ensures strict adherence to Ohio workers’ compensation standards and medical-legal expectations.
This position functions as an internal subject-matter expert on IMEs, Ohio workers’ compensation processes, provider coordination, and claim-related documentation, supporting the organization with advanced judgment, autonomy, and problem-solving. Prior experience working with workers’ compensation claims, IMEs, medical records, attorneys, adjusters, case managers, or the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation is strongly preferred.

Qualifications: Workers’ compensation experience is strongly preferred and will be a key consideration. Experience with Ohio BWC processes, IMEs, medical records, claims administration, case management, legal support, or insurance/adjuster communications is highly valuable. Bachelor’s degree and professional experience preferred. Geographical proximity preferred, as this is an in-office position.
