Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Concession Stand Worker to join our dynamic team at a vibrant entertainment or sports venue. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food service to guests, managing sales transactions efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized concession area. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, food and beverage handling experience, and the ability to operate various POS systems. This position offers an engaging environment where quick service, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential to delivering a memorable guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing retail sales transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the concession area, including food prep stations and equipment.
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and reconcile cash drawers at shift end.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure product availability during peak times.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Support team members in maintaining a fast-paced, high-quality service environment.
Experience
- Prior experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation, food safety management, and sanitation standards.
- Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple transactions efficiently.
- Background in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or food industry roles is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting under pressure.
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, change calculation, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment and food handling procedures.
- Previous experience in café or restaurant settings that emphasize customer service excellence.
