Position Overview:
We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking, and dog-loving Kennel Technician to join our team at either our Gainesville or Milton facility. This role involves hands-on care for dogs in our Board & Train programs, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting trainers as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, walking, bathing, and cleaning.
- Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kennel and facility spaces.
- Monitor dogs for signs of stress, illness, or injury and report concerns promptly.
- Assist trainers and management with dog handling as needed.
- Engage dogs in play and enrichment activities to support their wellbeing.
- Follow established safety and cleaning protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure excellent care for all dogs.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with dogs (kennel, daycare, vet, rescue, or training facility) preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Weekend and holiday availability required.
- Must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation.
Schedule & Compensation:
- These positions are part time only
- Shifts are either morning (7:00am to 9:00am) or evening (6:00pm to 9:00pm)
- Compensation is $15/hr
