Duties
- Assist in coordinating all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering arrangements, and decor setup
- Support the development and execution of event marketing strategies to maximize attendance and engagement
- Collaborate with vendors, venues, and clients to negotiate contracts and secure services within budget
- Help manage event timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and details are meticulously organized
- Provide exceptional guest services during events, addressing attendee needs with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Contribute to upselling opportunities by promoting additional services such as premium packages or catering upgrades
- Support budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and assisting with invoice processing and payment reconciliation
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a program related to Hospitality Management, Marketing, Event Planning, or a similar field
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience or familiarity with event marketing, event management software, or banquet operations is a plus
- Prior experience in customer service roles within restaurants, hotels, or hospitality settings is highly desirable
- Ability to negotiate effectively and handle contracts confidently
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
