We are currently seeking a dependable, friendly, and service-oriented House Attendant to join our team at the Element Harrison – Newark Hotel. In this role, you will help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas while supporting Room Attendants in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and is committed to upholding Ironwave Hospitality’s high standards of cleanliness, quality, and customer service.
Rate: $20.25/hour
Responsibilities:
The general responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Stock linen closets with amenities and supplies for Room Attendants; may also deliver supplies directly to guest rooms or assigned work areas.
- Remove soiled linen and trash from Room Attendant carts and transport to designated areas.
- Clean and remove spots, scuffs, and marks from corridor walls, doors, and baseboards.
- Polish and clean mirrors, guest room door numbers, elevator doors, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, foyers, and other public spaces.
- Flip mattresses and move furniture as directed by the supervisor.
- Follow attendance policies and maintain consistent, reliable availability for scheduled shifts.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned to support housekeeping operations and overall hotel cleanliness standards.
Requirements/Skills:
- Previous experience as a Houseman/House Attendant is preferred but not required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance standards.
- Strong ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
- Team-oriented with good communication and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and general workplace safety practices
US Work Authorization is required.
