Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including construction machinery, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to support our operational goals. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other heavy equipment.
- Fabricate parts or modifications as needed to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to heavy equipment operation, including suspension systems, alignment problems, HVAC systems, and welding repairs.
- Replace or repair faulty components using hand tools and power tools; perform tire service and heavy lifting tasks safely.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately diagnose issues; utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure compliance with safety regulations during all repair activities.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong background in construction equipment servicing including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair techniques for industrial equipment.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, welding, soldering, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation and the use of diagnostic software for electrical systems and powertrain components.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus; must be comfortable performing heavy lifting safely.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
