Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced nightclub environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring the bar area runs smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in hospitality settings and are eager to learn about beverage service while providing excellent customer experiences.
Duties
- Assist bartenders with preparing and serving drinks, ensuring all orders are fulfilled promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Stock and organize bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Help with food preparation as needed for events or banquets, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Buss tables in the bar area to keep the environment tidy and welcoming for guests.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and cash handling when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons and assisting them with their needs.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a nightclub or banquet setting.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Experience with cash handling and cashiering duties is an asset.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with cleaning protocols and kitchen experience is beneficial.
