Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, couples and family counseling sessions for clients with mental health issues
- Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Stay current on developments in the field of mental health counseling through ongoing professional development and training
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or Therapist
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology and ability to collaborate with prescribing professionals
- Strong crisis intervention skills to effectively manage high-stress situations
- Familiarity with case management principles and practices
- Experience in EMDR is a plus
- Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques and resources is a plus.
