Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain garage doors and openers according to specifications.
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of garage door components.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for installation and repairs.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations.
- Conduct electrical work related to garage door systems as needed.
- Weld components when required for custom installations or repairs.
- Install fixtures and cabinets associated with garage door systems.
- Execute frame carpentry tasks to ensure proper fit and function of doors.
- Fabricate parts as necessary for unique installations or repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding services performed.
Experience
- Garage Door experience preferred
- Proven experience in heavy lifting and physical labor is essential.
- Familiarity with door hanging techniques is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely is required.
- Experience in reading blueprints or technical drawings is preferred.
- Background in electrical work related to garage doors is a plus.
- Welding skills are beneficial for certain installation tasks.
- Knowledge of fixture installation techniques will be advantageous.
- Experience in cabinet installation can enhance service offerings.
- Frame carpentry experience is valuable for ensuring structural integrity during installations.
- Fabrication skills will be considered an asset in this role.
