Looking for someone with experience in automotive repair. You will be responsible for diagnosing problems with vehicles. Electrical and mechanical repairs or preventive maintenance on vehicles. Everything from intense diagnostics to changing oil on vehicles, rotating tires and assisting other mechanics with their jobs. We are looking for someone that has excellent problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Follow procedures to ensure safety and customers concerns are met
- Help maintain work area clean and organized
- Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
Skills
- Automotive diagnosing and repair experience
- Honesty, Integrity and Dependable
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles
Qualifications
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge
- Skilled in vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and tire service
- Experience with transmissions, powertrain, alignment, and suspension systems
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and automotive repair
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and customer service skills
- Preferred experience in dealership settings and with system reprogramming
