Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment while adhering to food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, grills, fryers, and ovens.
- Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Participate in menu planning and development by providing input based on seasonal ingredients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and meal presentation.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen tools and equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
