Position: Commissioned (Level 3) Security Officers
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation: Competitive — based on license level, experience, and assignment
Position Summary
We are actively seeking licensed security professionals to join our growing team in Houston. Commissioned (Level 3, armed), you will play a vital role in safeguarding clients, assets, and properties. All candidates must meet Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) licensing requirements under the Private Security Program.
Responsibilities
Level 3 – Commissioned Officers (Armed):
- Conduct routine unarmed patrols
- Monitor access control and visitor entry
- Report incidents and suspicious activity
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Carry and maintain a firearm per DPS standards
- Respond to emergencies and security threats
- Escort personnel and protect high-value assets
- Liaise with law enforcement as needed
Minimum Requirements
All Applicants Must:
- Be 21+ (Level 3)
- Hold a valid Texas DPS license:
- Level 3 for Commissioned
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Pass a background check and drug screening
- Hold a valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean record
- Be fluent in English; bilingual is a plus
- Maintain a professional appearance and strong customer service ethic
Level 3 Officers Must Also:
- Provide current firearm qualification certification
- Demonstrate proficiency in firearm safety and response tactics
- Be physically and mentally fit for high-risk assignments
Preferred Experience
- Military, law enforcement, or prior private security background
- Conflict resolution, de-escalation, or tactical training
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., report writing, email communication, use of mobile apps or security software)
