The right candidate will possess experience in or knowledge of healthcare, as well as front desk, scheduling, or office administration experience. They must also have a general understanding of health insurance and billing. While insurance billing will be integral to the success of this role (about 50% of time spent), you will also work directly with patients on a daily basis (50%).
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Submitting insurance claims and processing insurance payments
- Contacting insurance companies to collect information and process claims
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Processing patient payments
- Maintaining inventory of supplements and helping educate patients on them
- Creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for all of our patients
The right candidate must be willing to learn new computer systems (including ChiroTouch patient management system and ICD coding). Experience with chiropractic would be a plus, but the ideal person will be coachable and willing to learn.
