Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities tailored to infants and toddlers’ developmental stages
- Provide attentive supervision and care, ensuring children’s safety and well-being at all times
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure setting
- Collaborate with team members to adapt activities for children with special needs or disabilities
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development instruction, behavior management, and mandated reporting laws
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid is required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise multiple children effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly with parents, colleagues, and children in a warm and professional manner
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for infants and toddlers
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently while following mandated reporting laws
