Job Title: Nice Twice Associate, Camp Wartburg
Exempt/Non-exempt: NON-EXEMPT
Immediate Supervisor: Nice Twice Coordinator
Essential Functions:
Primarily responsible for selling merchandise, cashiering, straightening merchandise, cleaning and general upkeep of the shop, and giving direction to volunteers.
Greet customers with a welcoming and helpful demeanor, providing assistance and information about shop products.
Address inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and friendly manner.
Operate the cash register, process payments, and provide accurate change.
Stock shelves, maintain product displays, and organize merchandise to enhance the shopping experience.
Keep the store clean, organized, and well-maintained, including sweeping, dusting, and restocking. Including monitoring and restocking restrooms and trash receptacles.
Follow cash handling procedures and security measures.
Assist with providing direction to volunteers.
Stays informed of safety measures and completes all required training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to provide a positive shopping experience. Proficiency in cash handling and operating a cash register. Ability to merge the principles of retailing with the non-profit mission of service.
Basic knowledge of shop products and their uses.
Relates well to a wide variety of individuals - especially guests, volunteers, co-workers and the Nice Twice Coordinator - demonstrating respect, cooperation and teamwork. Ability to maintain motivation, strive for excellence and take direction from others.
Good organizational skills to maintain inventory and store cleanliness.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Demands and Other Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties listed in the job description satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Capable of operating standard office equipment, including a computer and keyboard, calculator, typical business machines such as a fax machine and copier. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to have valid driver’s license, auto insurance and must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle. The work environment characteristics include a noise level which is usually low to moderate.

Notifies, in a timely manner, the supervisory chain of any incidents or circumstances that need attention. Report all suspicions or allegations of abuse immediately to their supervisor. Ensures appropriate utilization of materials and resources and minimizes waste.
