The Grand/Sun City Grand is the premier active, age-restricted community in Arizona.
We are currently seeking a part-time, weekend Maintenance Tech. Responsibilities include performing general facility maintenance duties, responding to facility needs, completing assigned work without direct supervision, maintaining company vehicles by taking them for routine car washes and refueling as needed, and ensuring that all support and service is conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of CAM.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the community as required;
- Conduct routine inspections of common areas, amenities and facilities;
- Complete minor repairs including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry related tasks;
- Assist in delivering supplies, materials, and equipment to various areas;
- Monitor and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or property damage;
- Transport company vehicles to local car wash facilities and ensure vehicles remain clean and presentable;
- Refuel company vehicles and maintain fuel records as required;
- Perform basic vehicle checks and report any maintenance concerns;
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures;
- Keep current with events and activities occurring at The Grand; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Proper construction practices;
- Products, materials, equipment and tools related to the industry;
- Preventative maintenance practices; and
- Safety regulations and first aid procedures.
Ability to:
- Work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays; remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances;
- Remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns;
- Work and complete assignments with minimal supervision;
- Transport oneself around the golf courses, common areas, and The Grand facilities;
- Deal with the public tactfully and courteously in person and on the telephone;
- Be aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns;
- Understand and comply with both oral and written instructions;
- Read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed;
- Speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communication may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities;
- Interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, have good reasoning skills, and exercise good judgment;
- Establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of work;
- Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair techniques.
- Previous maintenance, facilities or property management experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must possess, and maintain, a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
