Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of classroom dynamics. This role is essential in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for preschool-aged children. The Assistant Teacher will help facilitate learning, promote social skills, and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive learning environment and addressing behavioral issues as they arise.
- Engage with students during activities to promote their understanding of concepts, including basic Math and literacy skills.
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.
- Foster relationships with students to encourage their social development and emotional well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom to create an inviting space for learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in a preschool, kids church or private school setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills to effectively support the lead teacher.
- Ability to educate young children in foundational subjects and biblical principles while fostering a love for learning.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
