Job Summary

Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning, creativity, and social-emotional growth for children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages positive behavior management and supports children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or requiring special education accommodations.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones; communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's growth and any concerns.
- Manage classroom routines effectively, including transitions, meal times, naps, and activities to promote a structured yet flexible learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized care plans or educational strategies that support inclusive learning experiences.
- Stay current on best practices in early childhood education, childhood development theories, and caregiving techniques through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early education methodologies.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as special education training or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment for all children.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Compassionate caregiving attitude combined with patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for early childhood education.
