Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Operating Room at our New Kennedy-White Surgery Center. In this critical role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing orthopedic and spine surgeries, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary instruments and support.
- Monitor patient's safety and status during surgery
- Maintain a sterile field during surgery
- Assist with positioning patient's correctly and having all needed equipment and supplies in the room
- Help with turn-over in rooms in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Ability to pull cases, stock supplies, order supplies, update preference cards, multitask, and be a flexible team player
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida
- 1 Year minimum experience in an operating room setting required.
- BLS, ACLS and PALS required
- Ability to perform patient assessments effectively.
- Experience with orthopedics and spine is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
