SODREL IS HIRING AN EXPERIENCED MOTOR COACH MECHANIC IN INDIANAPOLIS!
Join a team that helps keep our fleet operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. As a Motor Coach Mechanic, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on our fleet of motor coaches and diesel-powered vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled services
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
- Troubleshoot diesel engines, HVAC systems, braking systems, suspension, and electrical components
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve vehicle issues
- Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately
- Work closely with shop leadership to prioritize repairs and reduce vehicle downtime

Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
- Experience working on motor coaches, buses, heavy-duty trucks, or similar fleet equipment preferred
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and inspection procedures
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
- Experience using diagnostic software and tools
- Knowledge of diesel engines, HVAC systems, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
- ASE certifications a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and documentation
Wage Range: 24.00 - 33.00 per hour
