We are seeking an experienced Kitchen & Bath Design Assistant to support our Design Consultants with customer projects, design preparation, product selections, estimates, and project coordination for residential and commercial jobs.
This role is ideal for someone with previous kitchen, bath, interior design, cabinetry, or construction industry experience who enjoys working with customers and managing project details. The Design Assistant works closely with Design Consultants to prepare layouts, quotes, presentations, and specifications while helping ensure projects move smoothly from concept to completion. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Design Consultants with retail, contractor, remodeling, and new construction projects
- Gather project information, including measurements, design preferences, budgets, and specifications
- Prepare and revise kitchen and bath layouts using the 20/20 Design Program
- Develop estimates, quotes, design presentations, and project documentation
- Assist customers with cabinetry, finishes, colors, countertops, hardware, and product selections
- Review plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate project details with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal departments
- Maintain organized design files, quotes, and customer records
- Assist with order entry, product tracking, and issue resolution
- Stay current on cabinetry products, materials, and design trends
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the design and purchasing process
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in kitchen and bath design support, cabinetry sales, interior design, construction, remodeling, or a related field required
- Degree coursework in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Experience using the 20/20 Design Program and Spruce preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, floor plans, and construction drawings
- Knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, and kitchen/bath products
- Experience creating estimates, quotes, and material takeoffs
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Professional, proactive, and team-oriented approach
