What You’ll Do
- Operate and support critical production machinery within the department
- Monitor key performance indicators such as OEE, cycle times, and scrap trends
- Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, setups, changeovers, and verification activities
- Complete preventive maintenance part replacements and basic mechanical adjustments
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical and programming issues and escalate more complex concerns to Maintenance or Engineering
- Monitor critical process parameters and respond quickly when something falls outside defined limits
- Maintain accurate machine logs and ensure preventive maintenance requirements are completed or communicated
- Partner with Operations and Maintenance to improve machine efficiency while protecting quality and compliance
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certificate or trade coursework preferred
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience, including experience as a machine operator or technician
- Previous formal or informal leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and workplace safety
- Ability to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot machine controls, PLCs, or robotic systems, as applicable
- Experience working with programmed machinery and operator interfaces
- Ability to interpret blueprints, work instructions, inspection plans, and process sheets
- Knowledge of error-proofing systems, poka-yoke devices, and calibration components
- Familiarity with ISO-based systems, IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 is a plus
