KMTelecom, an innovative family owned telecommunications and broadband provider has an opportunity for you to join our team! We are located in Kasson, MN and are seeking a full time Broadband Technician for our expanding service area.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Install and troubleshoot broadband and telephone services
2. Install, configure, and maintain managed Wi-Fi networks
3. Install and support hosted PBX phone systems
4. Locate, splice, and troubleshoot fiber and copper facilities
5. Perform customer premise installations for customers
6. Troubleshoot customer network connectivity issues
7. Assist with outside plant maintenance and construction-related tasks as needed
NATURE AND SCOPE
KMTelecom is a small company environment where technicians are expected to be adaptable and comfortable handling a variety of tasks throughout the day. No two days are exactly the same, and priorities can shift quickly based on customer needs, service issues, and ongoing projects.
The primary focus of this position will be broadband and voice services, but responsibilities may also include locating cable, installing NIDs, fiber splicing, troubleshooting customer networks, and assisting with outside plant work.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, organized, and eager to learn. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and coworkers are essential.
This position is based out of KMTelecom’s office in Kasson, MN.
Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Participation in an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
