Star Equipment is currently hiring a driven Rental Manager to join its team in Des Moines, IA. This role is perfect for a motivated self-starter looking for a rewarding role with unlimited earning potential.
As a Rental Manager, you will manage a fleet of equipment and employees to service, maintain and deliver the equipment. The rental manager is also tasked with building and grounds maintenance of specific areas, as well as maintain driver files for the Des Moines and Ames locations.

Job Duties:
- Handle customers' rental needs; in-house, on the phone, and during delivery/pick-up
- Manage rental fleet inventory and utilization
- Coordinate with assistant rental manager/rental coordinator to assure timely delivery to customers
- Train customers and staff on safe and proper operation of our equipment
•Maintain awareness of new and unique areas to utilize our rental fleet, in addition to areas we may want to expand into
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- 2+ years of management experience & some sales/customer-facing experience
- Driver’s license and clean driving record, required
- Commercial driver’s license, highly preferred; ability to obtain a CDL, required
- Knowledge of the construction industry & equipment, preferred
