Duties
- Safely operate and drive the food truck to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently, following established recipes and sanitation standards
- Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process payments confidently
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck’s interior and exterior, including food handling areas, to meet sanitation standards
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including giving change and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist with food prep, restocking supplies, and bussing tables or cleaning serving areas as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service & fast food restaurant environments
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Excellent time management to handle multiple orders quickly during busy periods
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to boost sales opportunities
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for sales transactions, and quick calculations during busy hours
- Previous restaurant or café experience is highly desirable; experience in the food industry or grocery store is a plus
