Position Summary
Guillen Heating, Cooling & Plumbing is seeking a motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual who is dependable, professional, and takes pride in delivering high-quality service to homeowners and businesses throughout Southern Nevada.
The ideal candidate will be able to diagnose, repair, maintain, and install HVAC equipment while providing excellent customer service and communicating repair options clearly and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and maintain a daily schedule with multiple appointments throughout the service area.
- Diagnose HVAC system issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Communicate findings and repair options clearly with customers.
- Perform preventative maintenance on residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Inspect HVAC systems for safety, efficiency, and proper operation.
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and mechanical issues.
- Repair and replace HVAC components including motors, capacitors, control boards, compressors, thermostats, and related equipment.
- Maintain accurate job notes, documentation, and photographs.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, inventory, and equipment.
- Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and cross-training opportunities.
Qualifications Required
- EPA Certification (Universal or applicable certification for refrigerant handling)
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions
Preferred
- HVAC Certification or Associate Degree from an accredited HVAC trade school
- Previous residential and/or commercial HVAC experience
- Experience with mini-split systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, package units, and rooftop equipment
- Experience using service software and mobile applications
