Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Implant Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary dental instruments, materials, and equipment for implant procedures, including 3D scanners and dental x-ray devices.
- Assist the dentist during implant surgeries, oral surgeries, with precision and professionalism.
- Operate and maintain dental equipment.
- Work with patient management software, ensuring accurate documentation of medical records and treatment plans.
- Take dental x-rays and panoramic X-ray while following HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security.
- Manage sterilization procedures for dental instruments, adhering strictly to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Monitor vital signs of patients before procedures when necessary, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout treatment.
- Educate patients on post-operative care instructions, dental terminology, and the importance of oral health maintenance related to implant therapy.
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing patient records and medical documentation efficiently.
- Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow using patient management software.
- Uphold infection control standards in accordance with healthcare infection prevention guidelines to ensure a safe clinical environment for staff and patients.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with a focus on implant dentistry or general dentistry procedures.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Experience assisting with oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners confidently.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Previous experience in chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques will be considered a plus.
- Excellent communication skills combined with healthcare infection control expertise to provide outstanding patient care in a fast-paced setting.
