Job Summary:
Red Baron Transportation is actively seeking a dedicated Local Truck Driver to join our team in Calhoun, Georgia. As a Class A CDL holder, your responsibilities will include local cargo transportation, "drop and hook" operations, and ensuring the secure delivery of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a Class A CDL vehicle for local deliveries.
- Safely transport cargo to designated destinations.
- Load and unload freight as necessary.
- Securely close truck doors and detach trailers when needed.
- Ensure prompt and efficient completion of assigned routes.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- Current Med Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Registration with the Clearinghouse.
- Impeccable driving record with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Dependable and punctual, with availability Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM (occasionally later).
- Exemplary work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
- Must possess a cell phone for communication.
- Personal vehicle for commuting to the workplace.
- Hazmat endorsement preferred.
- Steel-toed shoes are mandatory.
Preferred:Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Certification
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday 6am to 3:30pm
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Salary: $22 per hour with an additional dollar per hour for Hazmat Endorsement.
- Benefits available after 90 days.
Additional Information:
- This position requires in-person work and is based in Calhoun, Georgia.
- Applicants with a Hazmat endorsement will receive an additional dollar per hour.
