Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive School Facilities Maintenance and Project Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of school facilities. This role involves managing maintenance teams, coordinating repair projects, and ensuring that all building systems operate smoothly to create a safe, comfortable, and productive learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, and a passion for maintaining high standards in educational facilities.

Position:
The Facility and Project Manager position is a .5 FTE.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide coordination and supervision for facilities projects at Springwater school.
- Identify and work with contractors and subcontractors
- Oversee bidding process and coordinate permits
- Serve as building health and safety coordinator
- Oversee water testing
- Review pest management
- Supervise septic maintenance
- Coordinate all necessary environmental testing
- Update required records
- Maintain the facilities, equipment, and grounds in a safe and operable condition through upkeep and repair, so that full educational use of facilities is always available.
- Work with the board of directors, principal and staff to identify safety and ongoing maintenance concerns.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years experience in facility management.
- Knowledge of design, planning and development; land acquisition and construction. Knowledge of uniform Building Code, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), and ADA (American Disabilities Act) guidelines, other related codes, and regulations for compliance.
- Knowledge of facilities operation management, bid preparation, budgeting, contract administration and financial stewardship.
- Knowledge of repair and maintenance practices for HVAC, hot water boilers, related physical plants systems,plumbing, electrical, materials, tools, and equipment needed for use of repair and maintenance of commercial structures.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and structural schematics and blueprints.
Starting salary or wages:
$40-50 per hour (depending on previous experience)
This position will be PERS eligible. The position is .5 FTE.
