We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) to join our environmental consulting team. The successful candidate will lead and manage site assessment and remediation projects under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP), provide technical and regulatory guidance to clients, and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal environmental regulations.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of environmental projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and play a key role in delivering high-quality environmental solutions to public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the LSP of Record for assessment and remediation projects throughout Massachusetts.
- Manage projects in accordance with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (310 CMR 40.0000).
- Prepare, review, and certify MCP submittals, including:
- Immediate Response Action (IRA) Plans, Status Reports, Completion Reports
- Release Abatement Measures (RAM) Plans, Status Reports, Completion Reports
- Phase I through Phase V reports
- Permanent Solution Statements
- Activity and Use Limitations (AULs)
- Direct and manage:
- Site investigations
- Environmental due diligence
- Soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion assessments
- Risk characterizations
- Remedial action planning and implementation
- Maintain communication with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and proposals.
- Mentor and train environmental professionals and project staff.
- Support business development efforts through client relationship management and proposal preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of environmental consulting, remediation, or regulatory experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience acting as LSP of Record.
- Demonstrated expertise with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP).
- Strong understanding of:
- Site characterization methods
- Environmental sampling protocols
- Human health and ecological risk assessment
- Remediation technologies
- Environmental compliance requirements
- Excellent technical writing, project management, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Massachusetts.
