Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, a passion for food preparation, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Prepare meals according to our restaurant's standards and recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
- Manage food inventory and ordering for the kitchen
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
- Monitor food safety and handling practices
- Participate in menu planning and recipe development
- Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen management team
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and culinary techniques
- Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with other kitchen staff
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Knowledge of dietary aids and dietary department practices is an asset
