Louisiana Bridge Builders (“LBB”) is designing and building the new I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana (USA) for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). LBB will also be responsible for the reconstruction of interstate highway, various structures, ramps, and approaches for a 5.5 mile stretch between I-210 West End and Ryan Street.

Lead, plan, and manage all foundation-related construction activities
-
Review project specifications, geotechnical reports, and design drawings to ensure proper execution of foundation systems.

Monitor production, schedule, and cost performance specific to foundation scopes and implement corrective actions as needed.

Identify risks related to subsurface conditions, equipment, materials, and production methods; develop mitigation strategies.

Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless field execution.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental requirements, and regulatory guidelines for all foundation work.

Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support for complex foundation challenges in the field.

Review and approve RFIs, submittals, and permits related to foundation construction activities.

Track and report quantities, production rates, and cost data for accurate project financial reporting.

Conduct site visits and field evaluations to ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.

Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Construction Manager and project leadership.

Supervise team members including training, assigning work, performance reviews, and personnel actions.

Promote continuous improvement in construction methods, safety practices, and productivity.

Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Strong expertise in foundation construction methods (piling, drilled shafts, deep foundations, and substructure work).

Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams in a field construction environment.

Strong project management capabilities including planning, scheduling, and cost control.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geotechnical data.

Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.

Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.

Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal.

At a minimum, the Foundations Manager must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field plus 7+ years of heavy civil construction experience with a strong emphasis on foundation work OR high school diploma (or equivalent) plus 11+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, including deep foundations operations. Must have valid driver's license.
