Position - Sr. Maintenance Technician
Location - New Century, KS
Pay - $35 to $38.28 an hr.
Shift - Morning, After Noon and Nights
About the Role
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will support the maintenance and operation of critical building systems within a client facility. You will lead shift operations, troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems, and help ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime.
This role includes providing technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance technicians, collaborating with automation support teams, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and continuously improve the functionality of material handling equipment (MHE) and robotic systems throughout the facility.
- Lead and audit preventative maintenance programs and procedures.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, and related equipment.
- Lead emergency repair activities for critical assets and support training and development plans for maintenance technicians.
- Create, manage, and close work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with operations, maintenance, and client teams.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures, regulations, and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with MHE safety standards and OEM equipment requirements.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, industrial electronics, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Experience performing preventative and procedure-based maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting and working with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing work orders in a maintenance environment.
- Ability to use and interpret equipment performance metrics, including OEE and uptime data, to prioritize maintenance activities.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, stooping, climbing stairs, and working on ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Vendor management experience.
- Experience maintaining robotic systems and automation equipment.
- Experience working with CMMS platforms.
- Certifications in one or more of the following:
- Electrical Systems

- PLC Programming

- Process Controls
- Mechanical Power Transmission
- Industrial Automation
