Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Parks and Recreation worker to perform general grounds cleaning, including emptying trash receptacles, cleaning restrooms, mopping, sweeping, mowing, trimming, landscaping, and raking City parks and recreation sites as needed.
Essential Job Functions
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:
A. Assist in the repair, and maintenance of city properties and facilities.
B. Mow, run weed eater, edging.
C. Maintain cemetery property.
D. Dig ditches and holes.
E. Service, adjust, and make repairs to equipment, machines and attachments.
F. Perform related tasks as required.
Knowledge
· Light, medium, and heavy equipment operating principle, practices, and procedures.
· Minor equipment maintenance and repair functions.
· Hazards and safety precautions common to mechanized equipment operation.
Physical requirements: The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, run, talk and hear. The employee is required to use hands to handle, or operate objects, controls, or tools. Must be able to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Certification: Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Pay: BASE $15.00, additional based on experience
