JOB TITLE: MACHINE OPERATOR (Day Shift Mill)

The company is seeking a hard-working individual to work in the fabrication department. This position is full-time, non-exempt, $18.13/hr - $27.13/hr. Compensation includes medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) plan with employer matching contribution, life insurance, employee assistance program, and training opportunities. Regular shifts are Monday – Friday with overtime as needed. Day shift hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, swing shift is 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm, and graveyard is 10:30 pm to 7:00 am.
Responsibilities Include:
- Operating fabricating machines such as brake press, CNC mill, CNC punch press, lathe, and laser.
- Following specifications such as blueprints, design drawings, and bill of materials, and planning sequence of operations.
- Following procedures and conducting preventative maintenance programs.
- Learning the site-specific usage of different types of forklifts and how they are used in different areas for a specific job.
- Using logic and reasoning to troubleshoot and identify alternative solutions to problems.
- Participating in the continuous improvement system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 1 year or more experience preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills.
- Read a tape measure.
- Ability to communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
- Good listening skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Arm-hand steadiness.
