We support adults with acquired brain injuries and developmental disabilities—not by taking over their lives, but by standing beside them as they build skills, pursue goals, participate in their communities, and live with greater independence.
Some days, your work may look like teaching someone to prepare a meal, manage a household task, attend an appointment, or navigate the community. Other days, it may mean offering calm reassurance during a difficult moment, celebrating a hard-won accomplishment, or simply being the dependable person who shows up and refuses to give up on someone.
The ordinary moments matter here. A new skill learned. A choice confidently made. A laugh shared in the car. A person realizing, perhaps for the first time, “I can do this.”
You will go home knowing your day mattered to another human being.
What You’ll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you will:
- Build respectful, trusting relationships with the adults we support
- Help individuals pursue personal goals and develop greater independence
- Teach and reinforce daily living, communication, social, and community-access skills
- Provide transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and community events
- Assist with meals, household responsibilities, personal care, and other individual needs
- Support people through behavioral, emotional, or cognitive challenges with patience and consistency
- Follow individualized support plans and established safety procedures
- Complete accurate daily documentation
- Communicate with coworkers, supervisors, families, and members of each person’s support team
- Protect each individual’s dignity, privacy, rights, and freedom of choice
- Notice progress—even when it comes one small step at a time—and help the people we serve recognize it too

- Capable of maintaining professional boundaries while still forming genuine human connections

Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Previous experience in disability services, behavioral health, healthcare, education, rehabilitation, caregiving, or human services is helpful, but we welcome applicants with the right character and a genuine willingness to learn.
Your Schedule
This position works Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
No overnight shifts. No rotating schedule. You will have consistent weekday hours and evenings and weekends available for your own life.
